Advice Following KTP Laser Treatment
You may experience some temporary redness and slight scabbing after 2-3 days.
- Apply the Òcold packÓ as directed.
- Massage liberally with aloe vera gel.
- Mild discomfort for the first 48 hours is expected. Paracetamol or Ibuprofen, could be taken, as directed on the packet, if required.
- If the treated area is other than on the face, avoid wearing tight clothing.
- Avoid hot showers or baths for the next 7-10 days.
- Avoid active exercise for 7 Ð 10 days.
- Avoid direct sun exposure.
Moisturiser and sun block application is essential for daytime and Aloe vera gel should be massaged in the evenings.
- In the uncommon circumstance where blistering occurs, they should be left intact if possible. If the blisters do burst or weep, they should be kept clean and exposed to air. If the blisters persist for more than 3 days, please contact the clinic.
- Return to work when you feel fit enough.
